TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Departure from USA for Beijing

Arrive in Beijing. You will be met at airport and transferred to hotel. Hotel accommodation will be at Sheraton-Great Wall Hotell.


Day 2 Beijing

Day tour to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven. Summer Palace. Accommodation will be at Sheraton-Great Wall Hotel. .


Day 3 Beijing

Day tour to the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Accommodation will be at Sheraton-Great Wall Hotel. .


Day 4 Beijing/Erlian Distance: 460km; Time taken: 8 hours

Leave Beijing in the early morning. Enjoy the countryside scenery and the landscape of Xilingol Grassland en route.Overnight in Quarantine Guest House .


Day 5 Erlian / Ikhbolig Distance: 50km; Time taken: 1 hour

Complete the customs formalities and enter Zaminuund, the Mongolian border city and drive to Ikhboli town of South Gobi province of Mongolia. Overnight in hotel .


Day 6 Ikhbolig /Dalanzadgad Distance: 400km; Time taken: 6 hours
Drive to the Dalanzadgad, the capital city of South Gobi province. Enjoy the Gobi scenery on the way. The South Gobi Desert is a well known tourist destination, covering an area of 63,845 square miles, where Gurvansaikhan National Park is the major sight. Overnight in tourist yurt.


Day 7 Dalanzadgad
Visit the Gurvansaikhan National Park, situated west of the town of Dalanzadgad. South Gobi, it encompasses the eastern end of the Gobi Altai Mountains and extends 240 miles from east to west, covering rocky and sandy plains, cliffs and ravines, salt pans and oases. It supports 52 species of mammals and 240 bird species, including breeding and migrant species. Yol Am Valley and Great Glacier, enjoy the flora and fauna. Also to visit sand dunes where the giant dinosaur was found. Overnight in tourist yurt.


Day 8 South Gobi / Arbaykheer Distance: 600km; Time taken: 8 hours
Drive from South Gobi to Arbaykheer, the capital city of Uborhangai province. Enjoy the Hangai scenery on the way. Overnight in hotel .


Day 9 Arbaykheer / Khara-Khorum Distance: 210km; Time taken: 3 hours

Drive from Arbaykheer to Khara-Khorum. An ancient Mongolian capital, Khara-Khorum was centre of world culture in the 13th century. At that time, it was a busy, splendid city with highly developed civilization built by the best artisans and masters of the antiquity. But it was completely destroyed in the fierce battles of the internecine war. Visit Endene Zuu Monastery, the oldest monastery in Mongolia and famous for its 108 Pagodas. Overnight in tourist yurt.


Day 10 Kharkhorin/Five River Junction Distance: 600km; Time taken: 8 hours

Drive to the Five River Junction, the Selenge River, the Ider River, the Bugsey River, the Chuluut River and the Delgermuren River Junction. Go fishing and horse riding. Bring you a feeling of relaxation. Overnight in tent.


Day 11 Fiver River Juncion/ Khubsgul Distance: 400km; Time taken: 6 hours

Drive from Five River Junction to Kubsgul, which is famous for its Hovsgol Lake. Hovsgol Lake is the secod biggest fresh water lake in the world and located in the far north, this stunning lake is probably Mongolia's best kept secret. Covering an area of over 1300 square miles, the lake's crystal-clear water is surrounded by pine-covered mountains and lush meadows sprinkled with white gers and herds of horses. The lake abounds in elk, moose, deer and other wildlife. Sightseeing and boating on the lake. Overnight in touris yurt.


Day 12 Sightseeing around the Lake

Drive around the lake and enjoy mountain and forest scenery. Visit Tsaatan, a minority in Mongolia, and their reindeer breeder's family to explore the lifestyle of these nomads. Enjoy deer riding, tasting reindeer milk, cheese and yogurt. The area is a real natural wander and attracts many photographers and film crews. Horse lovers are welcome to have a ride as horses are available at the resort. Overnight in tourist yurt.


Day 13 Khbsgul / Five River Junction Distance: 400km; Time taken: 6 hours

Drive from Khubsgul to Five River Junction, this area is the wonders of nature for eco-toursts, adventurers, birdwatchers and trekkers. Fly fishing is another outdoor adventure in this area. Overnight in tent.


Day 14 Five River Junction / Erdent Distance: 400km; Time taken: 6 hours

Drive from Five River Junction to Erdent, the second larggest city in Mongolia. Visit Erdent Copper Mine, one of the biggest copper mine in the world, which supports the ecomomy of this country. Overnight in hotel .


Day 15 Erdent / Ulaanbaatar Distance: 400km; Time taken: 6 hour

Drive from Erdent to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. It is located on the bank of the Tuul River and surrounded by majestic mountains. The combination of these pinecovered mountains, wide boulevards, vast public squares and parks give the city a feeling of spaciousness, while the ger communities, Buddhist temples, and bustling marketplaces give it a rustic charm. At present day, Ulaanbaatar serves as the political, economic, cultural center of Mongolia. Overnight in hotel .


Day 16 Ulaanbaatar

City tour to visit Sukhbaatar Square, a large and famous landmark at heart of Ulaanbaatar, where the Parliament, the Government House, Stock Exchange and many other important establishments are concentrated; the Gandan Monastery, the largest and most significant monastery in Mongolia; the National History Museum, which houses a large collection of Mongolia's natural history, culture and minerals exhibits; Bogdo Khan Palace Museum, built between 1893 and 1903, the Winter Palace of Bogdo Khan who was the last King of Mongolia. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional Mongolian singing and dancing performance. Overnight in hotel .


Day 17 Depart for USA (by air)

Drive to Ulaanbaatar International Airport for flight home. End the trip.
